Previous Research Grant Awardees

From 2014 to 2020 the European Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society (EVECCS), in partnership with scil animal care company has been awarding the scil EVECC Research Grant for a single research project that focuses on a clinical problem relevant to Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.

Awardees so far have been:

2014 – Pauline Jamieson from the University of Edinburgh, UK with the project “Cortisol metabolism in critically ill dogs by urinary glucocorticoid profiling”

2015 – Gaby van Galen from the University of Copenhagen, DK with the project “Colonic toxicity of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in hospitalized horses”

2016 – Elodie Darnis from the University of Liège, Belgium with the project “Cardiac FAST”

2017 – Yaron Bruchim from the Hebrew University, Koret School of Veterinary Medicine, Jerusalem, Israel with the project “Serum histones as biomarkers of insult severity in dogs with septic peritonitis”

2018 – Angela Briganti from the Department of Veterinary Sciences University of Pisa, Italy with the project “Endovascular shedding markers in critical patients”
