ECC vet in Galashiels, UK

Based in Galedin in Galashiels, e-vets Borders covers  a number of different practices in the wonderful Scottish Borders area. We are looking for confident Veterinary Surgeons with at least a couple of years’ experience who are happy in sole charge working with a competent nurse on site. Certificate study is actively encouraged and we have both nurse and vet ECC certificate holders on the team.

You will be receiving emergencies, performing surgeries and monitoring inpatients and have access to the usual equipment and a wide and varied case load. We have plenty of time to work up our cases to a high standard and in quiet times you can rest or you will have time for study and cpd.

We can cater for full and part time roles covering a share of nights and weekend days and can accommodate some flexibility with shift patterns. In your spare time, the Scottish Borders provide some wonderful walking and biking and you are easily in reach of Edinburgh and the airport.

An opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and experienced veterinary surgeons to join our e-vets team based at Braid Vet Hospital on the south side of Edinburgh.

Moorview Referrals are looking for a Night Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. Currently, the position would be working every other weekend days and 2 nights every other week, however this can could be adapted if necessary. The role includes consultations for emergency cases, admitting referral cases, managing critical patients, some medical work ups and basic urgent surgeries. You will be working alongside an experienced referral team, offering services in orthopaedics, spinal surgery, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, neurology and cardiology.

About Us

Our centre is a very busy referral hospital based in Northumberland. Well equipped with four theatres, one with fluoroscopy, a 160 slice CT with power injector and automated bolus tracking, DR, multiple ultrasound machines, video flexible and ridged endoscopy/laparoscopy/thoracoscopy/arthroscopy and a 1.5T MRI which covers us for most eventualities.

We have over 95 members within our centre; there are 21 vets, with majority as certificate holders, along with internal medicine and neurology specialists and one resident. In addition we have 25 RVN’s, 3 Advanced Diploma holders and over 12 students. Assisting that team is the ever growing Animal care members.
