Welcome to EVECCS
You have reached the website of the European Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, EVECCS. This website is intended to serve anyone who wants to learn more about veterinary emergency and critical care in Europe.
Our Society members primarily consist of veterinarians, veterinary nurses, students of both professions and some managers working in emergency services or intensive care units in Europe and around the world. Of course we also welcome anybody with a general interest in veterinary emergency and critical care.
Our website has a public access section for non-members such as pet owners and veterinarians interested in veterinary emergency and critical care. We invite everyone with an interest in veterinary ECC to become a member of EVECCS. Please, feel free to contact us with any question relevant to EVECCS membership or veterinary emergency and critical care in general.
Concord, solidarity, and mutual help are the most important means of enabling animal species to survive.

The Organisation
The first preliminary meeting was organized by Prof. Yves Moens during the 7th World Congress of Veterinary Anesthesia in Berne, Switzerland on September 20th to 23rd, 2001. A group of enthusiasts from all over Europe decided it was time to start a society that should become the European platform for everybody involved in the development of veterinary emergency and critical care (VECC) in Europe.
